Access Control

Access Control

Access control used to be the way business let employees in and out of different areas of the workplace, not anymore, access control is used in so many ways and not just for access control, companies use access control technology to not just open a door but to manage time and motion. They know how long it take you to get from one door to another door and also where you are in the building.

Home have now started to take on this technology for door security on their homes and garages, access control systems cannot be picked or bumped like other door locks. they either send a signal to unlock a door or not. the doors are held closed by magnets or bolts which are spring loaded into the frame securing the door shut. most magnets are rated at 600kg of force to you will need more than Weetabix to pull that open.

Access control Systems require very little maintenance due to no moveable parts on magnets and therefore have become the lock of choice for businesses, there is no getting keys cut or replacing keys which have been lost, the doors can be programmed to open with a RF ID Card, Fob, or code and now even a smart watch or phone,
